Fishing Simulator 2 news...

Yesterday saw a huge turnout of just over 90 anglers at the weigh in following an any species match on Smith Mountain Lake. Most anglers targetted the huge catfish which are known to be present here, and for a change today the catfish obliged. Lots of catfish of over 50, 60 and a even a few over 70 lb's were presented at weigh in, the biggest of the day going to Dazza, a monsterous 76 lb fish. This fish, certainly the biggest in recent times in trophy matches was taken at 11:15am on 4 large chunks of freshwater fish pieces, anchored on the bottom of a ledger rig. This one fish alone helped Dazza to the cup final victory for the month over Kenny Ken, without it, the cup victory would more than likely have gone to Kenny Ken who was just 19 lb's behind in the match. Sounds a lot, but considering the size of the fish coming out, this was only a small margin. Well done to Dazza for the cup victory and also to Kenny Ken for the runners up, both have earned a place in trophy fishsim history on the accolade page.

The overall win went to Bob Poultney, who used similar tactics to a lot of the top runners, ledgering large pieces of freshwater fish pieces in the mid morning hours. The 100 points for the win will no doubt have put Bob back on track to catching Morana CZ in the premier league race. Linda, Nyorbee, Dazza and Kusti rounded out yesterdays top 5. A special mention also must be made for Hodgey and Maggie, who along with Dazza were the only 3 anglers to successfully land a 70 lb + fish.

With so many anglers turning out today, it's really shaken up the leagues. At the top of the premier league Morana still holds and 11 point lead over Klamer Pl, but now Bob Poultney has rejoined the race again following the win yesterday. At the bottom, Kusti has leaped out of the relegation spots up to 14th place after a good 5th place finish. This now leaves Sirfishalot in the drop zone, but there's still time for all this to change, there still in reality 6 anglers left in this battle to avoid the drop, Sirfishalot, Pawel, Soapsallysandra, Kusti, Clive and Charlie.1 CZ.

In the first division Hodgey has popped up into a promotion spot following a good result yesterday, Linda has also bought herself into contention whilst Serasan has drifted away slightly. Very little is happening at the bottom of the first division and it looks like steve.h, wojtas pl, Adriana and Viki will be relegated. Bertik, Dazza and Alan are looking favourites for the top 3 places still.

Carpy was division two's top performer yesterday getting 8th place and earning 92 points, this result has now reduced the gap to current leader Tigeress111 to just 9 points. Fana8 CZ and Kenny Ken Jnr remain favourites for the other two guaranteed promotion places, but these spots are still in the sights of Nightloverbe, TCoreleone CZ, Maciek, Darek Franko pl, Stan4d.CZ and Lulu pl. At the bottom it is equally as tight, with Dowhillbiker CZ and Cruller CZ occupying what looks like the two remaining relegation places. Czacza is not all that far clear though.

In division three, Arapaima pl has jumped into the automatic promotion spots after being the top scoring division three angler yesterday with a 13th overall place, earning 86 points. Phoenix Thorn looks almost certain for the title in this division.

Today, anglers are back on The German Club venues ( download venue here ), by chance this venue was also used just a few days back, but venues are selected purely at random and occasionally it throws up things like this. The difference with todays match is that anglers are looking for tench and ide only. Shabba, Poacher and Kenny Ken jnr are the only thre reported to have caught so far, so it's looking like a difficult day ahead. Looking at the records, the ide is just over 3 lbs and has stood since May this year, it was caught on the old pond by zyga pl. The tench record has already been broken, caught today on carp dreams by Shabba, this beat zyga pl's previous record of 5 lb 12 oz caught last month.
