Fishing Simulator 2 news...

Yesterday 107 anglers ventured out into fishsim world in search of mainly tench, although a few did get some perch also. The tagged fish was a pike weighing exactly 3 lb 10 oz 15 dr, and as expected this was netted by 4 anglers in total who each earned an extra 4 bonus points. Carpy2009 caught the tagged pike at Lake Supreme with DB Gudgeon. Mark Silver also had the same fish from Lake Supreme but this time it took a bluey bait. Fana8 CZ also fished the same venue and caught the tagged fish on DB gudgeon. Finally King also got the tagged fish, but details aren't available on the catch.

Steve.h won the match yesterday with 5 tench caught at Fojtuv Revir for a total weight of 56 lb 3 oz. Most of the tench fell to ledgered Russel Livingstone pellet around midday. Pikie was looking good for a top five at the weigh in, but a late arrival from Shabba pushed Pikie down to 6th place. After Shabba's net was examined and weight, it was enough to secure the runners up spot in the match with a net full of tench caught from Park Lake on a range of different baits. Third place went to premier league leader Bob Poultney who used fatty spice paste at Fojtuv Revir in the morning to lure in five good size tench. Trigger made the normal top 5 appearence, this time in 4th place with tench caught at Fojtuv Revir on fatty luncheon meat and fatty spice paste. Trigger also had a few from Clayhole, but these didn't make it into the top 5 fish of the day. One huge olive slimey specimen could be seen in Triggers net and grabbed everyones attention when he got it out, when it was placed on the scales it weighed in at 13 lb 7 oz 5 dr, and was enough to take the 5 bonus points for the biggest fish of the day. Finally rounding out the top 5 was Delboy who bagged five early tench at Fojtuv Revir fishing with fatty luncheon meat.

Shabba was the angler of the day in the premier league yesterday with a second place finish. Bob Poultney finished in third place which was enough to extend the lead at the top of the table to 13 points over Kenny Ken jnr. Trigger was the top division one angler yesterday with a fourth place finish, the 97 points for this, plus the 5 extra bonus points all helped to extend the lead at the top of the division to 90 points. This is a huge gap at this early stage of the month, but there's still plenty of time for Linda and the rest of the field to catch up. The win for Steve.h. means that Steve also takes the title for the division 2 angler of the day. This result moves Steve up into 9th in the table. Ludva CZ still leads at the top from Mark Silver who closed the gap slight yesterday to 66 points. Finally in the third division, Topman is sitting at the top of the table and looking good from promotion this month, following a close run battle in January. KeithCarp is in second place only 34 points behind. Delboy was the top angler of the day and has now moved up to 12th place in the league as a result.

Todays match takes place on SFC Gemini lakes and is fishing for tench and roach. The tagged fish for today is an 8 oz 1 dr roach and is worth just 3 extra bonus points because the tagged fish was caught yesterday. Early reports from the lake indicate the fishing is slow going, and it looks like being another tough day ahead. So far, Jim B, Trigger and Pikie have all got there keepnets in the water, whilst the rest are still on the bank. Finally, some news on the downloader at www.simmersdreams.co.uk, a few changes have taken place to try and make it viable. I'm sure everyone who has used Fishsim over the years has appreciated all the addons being listed in a single place, the downside to this is that the site that hosts the downloader takes quite a hit each day. Recently there have been problems as i'm sure some are aware and Peit and Roy have worked tirelessly to solve these in the background. Things now are a lot more stable, but it is still getting "hammered", therefore there's been a limitation put in place on the number of addons that can be downloaded each day. This has been set at 20 per user per day, after these 20 downloads you can only download one addon per minute thereon after for the rest of the day. This has been put in place to try and spread bandwidth between all users evenly and make things more reliable.
