Fishing Simulator 2 news..

Sixty-eight anglers attended yesterdays match in the pursuit of carp and wels catfish at Lake Montana, the carp really weren't an option with the water being so cold, so it was down to catfish hunting. The low turn-out reflected the difficulty in catching on the day, but most anglers were thankfull that the sturgeon had been dropped in favour of the more prominent catfish.

Current premier league contender Bob Poultney took the overall win, with a huge bag of just short of 200 lbs ! Tigeress111 turned in a personal trophy best of 2nd place and at one point looked early favourite after landing a huge 41 lb catfish. Amazingly this wasn't to be the only 40 lb + catfish landed on the day, in total six fish over 40 lb found the way into the net, with credit going to Shabba, Bob Poultney, Stefirmy, Maciek, Tigeress111, and the biggest of the day being caught by Maggie, a huge 49 lb'er. The monster fish fell to a huge freshwater fish piece, cast in at dawn.

Congratulations are in order for Pawel who has now competed in 200 trophy fishsim matches, in this time taking 4 wins, 5 seconds and a third place. In the 39th trophy match, congratulations also go out to Stefirmy who achieved a personal best score out of 88 points.

Today is cup day again, and the action shifts over to the River Nene where any species count. It looks like being pike again with early reports of a 7 lb pike being landed by Maggie. Looking at the cup draw, there are a couple of interesting ties, Phoenix Thorn vs Alan and Lenny Pike vs Klamer Pl look like they could be close high scoring matches. After the last round though, you never really know.

On the league front, following yesterdays overall win Bob Poultney has closed up a bit on Morana CZ who still heads the way in the premier league. It's as you were in division one with Bertik 007 CZ still leading. An excellent days fishing by Carpy leaps him to second place in Division two, where an equally good day by Tigeress111 mean the lead at the top is maintained. There is an interesting battle at the bottom of the 2nd division developing where only one of 4 anglers will survive relegation, Cruller CZ, Downhillbiker CZ, Czacza and Matez pl are all involved in this close tussle. Division 3 remains the same with Phoenix Thorn and Lenny Pike looking almost certain for promotion now.

Finally, please do not take these newsletters seriously, yesterday it was mentioned that a meeting took place over some Tapioca pudding and Battenburg cake, this actually did not happen in all but imagination but was used to embelish the story. Under no circumstances was any battenburg harmed in the production of this newsletter. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that the delights of marzipan edged pink and yellow sponge is too fine a work of art to consume. Tapioca on the other hand, yak, frogs spawn, you lot can eat as much of that as you like !!! yuk
