Fishing Simulator 2 news...

Yesterday another huge turnout of 134 anglers showed up for the roach and rudd match at Renny Lakes. As predicted it was a close affair with the venue not being reknowned for holding roach or rudd over 2 lbs in weight. Trigger won the match with a combined total weight of 9 lb 8 oz, this was down to catching roach mainly on super red worm. Just under 3 ounces behind was Delboy, who caught roach on a range of baits including russell livingstone pellets and super red worm. The biggest fish of the day was a 1 lb 15 oz 10 dr roach and was caught by Poacher who finished third in the match, just 8 drams behind second place. Mark Silver came in fourth place, taking 97 points to add to the division one campaign total. Finally completing the top five was Borisovd_ru who caught roach mainly on AD prawn maggot and just missed out on fourth place by a dram.

Three records were broken yesterday at Renny Lakes, Luktyk.pl increased the rudd record by 14 drams to beat Urasik_ru's old record which was caught in June 2008. A new tench record was set and caught by Marcin.pl, increasing this to 4 lb 9 oz which increases Rob's old record by just over a pound. Finally Mark Silver set a new chub record of 3 lb 11 oz which beats the old record held by Iggy by around 6 oz's. Well done to all three who set new records yesterday.

Todays match is being held at Bartons Point and as it is cup day again any species of fish can be caught. Early indications on the fishing are good with 56 anglers having netted fish so far, most of the biggest specimens coming out being bream. As for the cup draw, there are still 16 anglers remaining in the competition and the 8 matches today are below :

At this late stage in the competition, there's no such thing as an easy draw and all matches look like they could be close contests. Good luck to all fishing today.
